WWE Random News

WWE News
‘The Extreme Announcer’ Joey Styles stated on Twitter (@JoeyStyles) this week that his contract with WWE was due to expire this week. It has not yet been confirmed whether the former ECW announcer was referring to his current role as Director of Digital Media Content, or whether his time with the company had come to an end completely.
Even after being ‘fired’, John Cena is still being advertised for house show events under the name of Juan Cena, the supposed ‘Mexican cousin’ of the Superstar. Whether this will turn out to be another ‘Mr. America’ type angle as portrayed by a masked Hulk Hogan during 2003 remains to be seen.
Good ol’ JR himself confirmed this week on jrsbarbq.com that a representative for UFC fighter Roy Nelson had contacted him to discuss the possibility of joining the company. In his blog the WWE Hall of Famer stated the following:
A rep of Roy Nelson casually contacted me about the hard hitting MMA fighter wanting to get in the WWE at some point. So the rumors of Nelson wanting to jump from MMA to WWE aren’t totally unfounded. However, one has to wonder if this isn’t a case of leveraging or posturing to some degree by the big puncher.
